Anna Nordqvist signs agreement with Gaylord Sports Management

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Anna Nordqvist, the current Ladies British Amateur champion who earned status for 2009 on the LPGA Tour, has turned professional and signed a management agreement with Gaylord Sports Management. Player Manager Ben Harrison will handle the Nordqvist account.

In Nordqvists' two years at Arizona State University she finished first or second in 10 of her 24 tournaments. She was the NCGA Freshman of the Year in 2007 and was twice a first-team All-American. In addition to her Ladies British Amateur title this past summer she was the low amateur in the Women's British Open, won the Swedish National Match Play Championship and was a member of the victorious Swedish team in the World Amateur Championship, finishing 2nd in the individual championship.

"Anna finished her collegiate career ranked first in the nation, enjoyed success at the top levels of international amateur golf and qualified for the LPGA Tour in her first attempt," said Harrison. "She's a product of Sweden's famed national program. She was a top-rank student at Arizona State University. Anna's upside on and off the course is unlimited so we're very proud indeed to represent her."
