Delaware Luxury Residential Development Unveils
Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course
MILLSBORO, Del. (May 3, 2006) -- The Peninsula on the Indian River Bay, Delaware’s first private gated, luxury residential golf resort, officially opened its Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course to its members last Friday, April 28, 2006.
Boasting 18 holes of championship golf hugging the pristine waterfront along Indian River Bay and Lingo Creek, the members-only, environmentally sensitive golf complex will run through each of the development’s nine neighborhoods. The state-of-the-art golf facility features a magnificent clubhouse and full-service amenities including a driving range, practice green, pro shop, cart storage, lounges, locker rooms and 19th Hole Grill.
The Peninsula has secured PGA professional Troy Flateau to oversee the Troon Golf managed course. As Director of Golf, Flateau will provide professional golf instruction and organize member events and programs.
The magnificent 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, scheduled to open later this year,
will boast luxury and comfort exemplified by gracious personal attention, fine dining
and an array of club activities. Membership in The Peninsula clubhouse will be available
only to home owners within the development.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course will have its official grand opening at the end of June, highlighted with a visit by Mr. Nicklaus.
