2nd Annual Raising Funds 4 Raising Kids Charity Golf Classic

It's that time again to sharpen your swing and get ready for La Paloma Academy's 2nd Annual Raising Funds 4 Raising Kids Charity Golf Classic, supporting La Paloma Academy Charter School. This year's tournament is already panning out to be a blast. We have many exciting activities planned as well as a few celebrities and guests of honor joining us on the greens, such as comedian Sinbad, producer and actor Carlos Ramirez and star of Days of Our Lives, Brody Hutzler.

The 2nd Annual Golf Classic will be held Saturday, March 28 at Forty Niners Country Club, 12000 East Tanque Verde Road, Tucson AZ. Registration begins at 7am and the tournament will support an important cause this year - literacy. According to the Literacy Report released by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES): one in four children grows up not knowing how to read. La Paloma Academy wants to combat this; their goal this year is to purchase a new reading curriculum and the necessary materials for the students of La Paloma Academy to succeed in reading.

Entry fee is $90 per player or $350 for a golf foursome (until January 5, 2009, see below for adjustment to prices). This fee includes greens fee, cart, range balls, BBQ lunch La Paloma Academy polo shirt, Entertainment Book and raffle ticket. The format is a four-man scramble - pick your own team, three drives per person. Various sponsorships are also still available ranging from $200 to $4,000.

La Paloma Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your generous donations are tax deductible. Please register by March 5th at www.lpatucson.org/LPAcharitygolf.
