Douglas Marlowe Barg is Executive Chef at Whiteface Lodge Resort

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- The Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa announced the appointment of Douglas Marlowe Barg as Executive Chef of the resort's culinary operations. Chef Barg will oversee all of the resort's sophisticated dining programs including the culinary selections at Kanu, one of Lake Placid's most celebrated restaurants.

A graduate of Boston University, Barg brings with him an impressive background in the hospitality and culinary industry, including seven years as Executive Chef of the Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, VT - a multi-million dollar generating culinary program while under his direction. In addition, Barg's accolades include Banquet Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach and Executive Chef for The Chesterfield Hotel, a luxury boutique property.

Barg has consistently demonstrated success in driving menu development and implementing unique, dining experiences throughout his tenures. In joining The Whiteface Lodge, Chef Barg channels his enthusiasm and love for the culinary arts to a local level, incorporating the indigenous flavors of the Adirondack region and organic ingredients from local vendors, into all of his gourmet creations.
