AVONDALE, Pa. (May 4, 2006) -- Forewinds Hospitality, owners of Hartefeld National and Inniscrone Golf Clubs, are out to separate the serious golfers from the posers. On Monday, June 19th the public is invited to participate in the First Annual 36-Hole Summer Solstice Golf Tournament. Teams will compete in two different formats on the two Forewinds’ properties.
You and your team will begin the day between 7am-8am with a continental breakfast, registration and a little practice time on the driving range. There will be a shotgun start at 8am at Inniscrone with a Four-Person Scramble. Later, when you tee off at Hartefeld National’s course, you and your team will play a Best-Two-Balls-Of-Four format. A 1:30pm boxed lunch will be provided during the intermission between rounds. Roaming hospitality carts will be circulating at both courses with food and beverages for purchase.
Following your rounds, prizes will be awarded for low net and gross at both courses, closest to pin and longest drive on designated holes. The awards ceremony will take place during a BBQ buffet dinner at Hartefeld National.
Anyone wishing to participate will be asked to provide a USGA handicap or average score (for players without an official handicap). Players of all abilities are welcome and everyone will receive an official tournament bag tag and discounts in the pro shops. The tournament fee is $159 per player for the public and $79 per player for members. Entry forms can be obtained by visiting both courses’ websites (www.hartefeld.com or www.inniscronegolfcourse.com), by emailing jpaterson@hartefeld.com or by calling Jennifer Paterson at 610-268-8800 ext. 1060.
