Bolingbrook (Ill.) Golf Club student Jeanne Cho-Hunicke earns her LPGA card

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. -- Jeanne Cho-Hunicke, a former contestant on the Golf Channel's "The Big Break V: Hawaii", and a student of Bolingbrook Golf Club Director of Instruction Carl Rabito, earned a full exemption to play on the 2009 LPGA Tour at the recent LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in Daytona Beach, FL. Cho-Hunicke, who began working with Rabito in October, marks the twelfth student of Rabito to earn a full exemption on a major professional golf tour. Earlier this month, Greg Towne qualified for the 2009 European Senior Tour.

Cho-Hunicke, a resident of Longwood, FL, shot a seven-under-par 353 to finish in a tie for 15th at the qualifying tournament. Just 21 players earned an exemption on next year's tour. This was her fourth attempt at qualifying, and she gives Rabito credit for getting her through.

"Carl played a huge role in my preparation," said Cho-Hunicke. "He put his heart into my game, led me the right way and more importantly, he really believed in me. We worked on each area of my game and everything peaked at the right time!"

Cho-Hunicke will join fellow LPGA Tour players and Rabito students Jeong Jang, Meena Lee and H.J. Choi next season.

"I was very impressed with Jeanne's performance," said Rabito. "Given the short time we've worked together, she's really worked hard to make the changes that we felt were important for her to be successful."

Rabito, one of 43 PGA Master Teaching Professionals and a GOLF Magazine Top 100 Instructor, and his staff, who have called Bolingbrook Golf Club home since 2004, work with a number of touring professionals and top-ranked amateurs. An expert in human anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, Rabito's unique approach to the golf swing ties together the student's physical abilities with specific body movements and swing mechanics to make a solid, repeatable golf swing.
