Merrill Lynch Shootout

Friday - Sunday (Dec. 12-13), GOLF CHANNEL's signature news shows Sprint Pre/ Post Game and Golf Central will be on-site for tournament host Greg Norman's Merrill Lynch Shootout, taking place at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. Sprint Pre Game, hosted by Kraig Kann and Brandel Chamblee, will set viewers up for the weekend action Friday (Dec. 12) at 2:30 p.m. ET. The duo also will break down all of the action on Sprint Post Game with highlights, interviews and analysis Friday - Sunday at 6 p.m. ET immediately following network coverage. Friday - Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET, Vince Cellini and Todd Lewis will host Golf Central from Tiburon G.C. to deliver expanded news coverage of the Merrill Lynch Shootout with interviews, highlights and features. GOLF CHANNEL will air live opening round coverage of the Merrill Lynch Shootout Friday (Dec. 12) from 3-6 p.m. ET, with a prime-time re-air at 9 p.m. ET. NBC has weekend tournament coverage.

PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament Final Round

Monday (Dec. 8) at 3:30 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANNEL will air the final round of the PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament, a six-day tournament taking place at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif. The top-25 players plus ties will earn PGA TOUR cards for 2008, with the next group of players nearest to 50 eligible to have fully exempt status on the Nationwide Tour. GOLF CHANNEL's coverage will be hosted by Brian Hammons and Curt Byrum, with Matt Gogel, Donna Caponi-Byrnes and Jerry Foltz reporting from the course and Inga Hammond conducting interviews. The final round will re-air Monday in prime time at 9 p.m. ET.

Dubai Ladies Masters

Thursday - Sunday (Dec. 11 - 14) at 6:30 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANNEL will air tournament coverage of the Dubai Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour, which will be Annika Sorenstam's final tournament before stepping away from competitive golf.

Golf Central Year in Review

Wednesday and Thursday (Dec. 10-11) at 9 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANNEL anchors Vince Cellini, Rich Lerner and Steve Sands will be joined by GOLF CHANNEL insiders John Hawkins and Tim Rosaforte to break down all the top storylines and memorable highlights in the world of golf from 2008 in a roundtable format. Topics will include the major championships, Ryder Cup, PGA TOUR Playoffs and the top newsmakers of 2008.

Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge

Saturday (Dec. 13) at 2:30 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANNEL's Steve Sands will host the Wendy's Tour Preview to prepare viewers for network coverage of the Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge, a made-for television event that pits players from the PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour against each other for bragging rights and a share of a $1 million purse. Following network coverage of the first round of the Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge on Saturday (Dec. 13) at 5:30 p.m. ET, Sands will host the first of two Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge Clinics, joined by Nick Price, Kenny Perry, Natalie Gulbis and Helen Alfredsson. The Big Break-style clinic will feature the popular glass break challenge and an accuracy challenge. Sunday (Dec. 14) at 1:30 p.m. ET, Jay Haas, Fred Funk, Rocco Mediate and Cristie Kerr will join Sands for the second Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge Clinic, featuring the flop wall and glass break challenges. Following the conclusion of network coverage on Sunday (Dec. 14) at 4 p.m. ET, Sands will host the Wendy's Tour Review, recapping the key moments from the event with interviews and highlights.

Original Programming Premieres and Highlights

Big Break X: Michigan

On Tuesday's new episode of Big Break X: Michigan (Dec. 8) at 10 p.m. ET, one team has advanced to the finale while the two remaining teams battle on the golf course in match play competition for the remaining spot in the finale. Hosted by Stina Sternberg and Billy Ray Brown, Big Break X: Michigan will re-air Wednesday (Dec. 9) at 6 p.m. ET. Big Break X: Michigan's season finale will air Tuesday (Dec. 16) at 10 p.m. ET.

Top 10: Shots of 2008

Tuesday (Dec. 9) at 11 p.m. ET, Top 10 returns to count down the top 10 shots of 2008, with insight and commentary by noted sports journalists. Hosted by Kate Longworth, the show will include Phil Mickelson's approach shot through the trees on the 72nd hole at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, Jay Haas' hole-out for eagle at the Senior PGA Championship and Tiger Woods' final-hole heroics to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, Dubai Desert Classic and the U.S. Open.

Road Trip: Myrtle Beach (Season Finale)

Tuesday (Dec. 9) at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Myrtle Beach vacation comes to a close for Charlie Rymer, Mark Bryan, Josh Kelley and Perry Swenson. The foursome will play golf at Leopard's Chase Golf Club at Ocean Ridge Plantation, followed by an entertaining round of miniature golf and concluding with music at Sharky's Ocean Isle waterfront restaurant.

European Tour Year in Review

Wednesday (Dec. 10) at 7:30 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANNEL will recap the 2008 European Tour Season by showcasing the top storylines and highlights, including Trevor Immelman's Master's victory, Tiger Woods' winning the U.S. Open and Padraig Harrington's two major victories.

The PGA of America's Year in Review

Wednesday (Dec. 10) at 10 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANNEL will air The PGA of America's Year in Review, an hour-long special recapping the PGA of America's memorable 2008 season. Hosted by Kraig Kann, the special will feature a look back at The PGA of America's flagship events, including The PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, national award winners, top moments from members of the media and the PGA Professionals' support of the second annual Patriot Golf Day.

USGA Championship Season

Thursday (Dec. 11) at 10 p.m. ET, GOLF CHANEL will review the 2008 USGA Championship Season, from Tiger Woods' U.S. Open victory at Torrey Pines Golf Course to 19-year-old Inbee Park's record setting win at the U.S. Women's Open. The hour-long special will be hosted by Steve Burkowski and Dottie Pepper.
