Pukka Headwear unveiling new collection at PGA Merchandise Show

Pukka Headwear, designer and manufacturer of the Pukka and seven7under brands, will unveil a new, larger booth at the PGA Merchandise Show in January. At the same time, the Findlay, Ohio-based company will introduce a custom collection called Pukka Remix, which is a combination of the company's latest styles and design techniques.

Pukka will also formally introduce seven7under headwear, which was purchased from industry veteran John Bond in April of 2008, the same time Bond was hired as Pukka's vp of sales.

"In general, headwear continues to sell well in pro shops both nationally and internationally. The introduction of our new programs and products gives buyers even more options," says Bond. "The new sport-driven seven7under is the 'something different' that the industry has been looking for since performance fabrics and the green products were introduced. Initial feedback from its first retail exposure at the Ryder Cup was very impressive."

The 2009 PGA Merchandise Show marks Pukka's sixth year exhibiting. "While many brands are choosing to remain the same in terms of their show presence, we have decided to invest in ours," says James Thompson, Pukka's director of marketing. "We will kick things off with a new 20-by-60-foot show display that shouts Pukka."

Pukka will also support its presence at the show with sponsorship opportunities, including being the headwear sponsor for the PGA Demo Day at Orange County National. Throughout the event, Pukka will distribute promotional samples of the seven7under brand, including the lightweight micro-fiber cap known as the Overtime Winner (OTW). This style is available in two-tone black and charcoal with an orange contrast stripe. Also available will be Pukka's popular combination PPM/Sport Mesh cap featuring Pukka's A-Flex four-way stretch sweatband, available in solid black.
