PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - To help to shape the future vision of The PGA Foundation to achieve philanthropic objectives serving junior golf, the disabled, diversity, and scholarships, The PGA Foundation has received commitments from the following business leaders to serve as Trustees: Junior Bridgeman, Mike McCallister, Roger Nanney, and Jamie Reynolds.
The PGA Foundation Trustees will serve a two-year term and handle the following responsibilities:
* In addition to helping shape the future vision of the Foundation, the Trustees will review the mission periodically for accuracy and validity.
* The Trustees will to work in partnership with the executive development team to raise funds from the community, provide leads for prospective donors, and/or make a personal contribution.
* As goodwill ambassadors, the Trustees are a primary link to the community, including the constituents they serve, the public and media. Important to the Foundation's public relations strategy is for the Trustees to articulate the mission, accomplishments and goals to the public, as well as garnering support from key members of the community.
Junior Bridgeman, the Trustee Chair, followed his career at the University of Louisville with 10 years with the Milwaukee Bucks and two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. He is the chief executive officer of Bridgeman Foods Inc., which he founded in 1988. Bridgeman is also the owner and president of Manna Inc., and oversees the administration and operation of 160 Wendy's restaurants in five states and 103 Chili's restaurants in seven states. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the PGA of America.
Mike McCallister is the president and CEO of Humana and is the Chairman of The Humana Foundation. He has led the Fortune 200 company to a leadership position within the health-benefits industry.
Roger Nanney is vice chairman of Deloitte LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services organizations, providing audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services through nearly 40,000 employees in more than 90 cities in the United States.
Jamie Reynolds is one of the developers and principal shareholders of Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga. Reynolds is vice chairman and secretary of Reynolds Plantation and co-founder and managing partner of American Real Estate Investment Co., which specializes in the acquisition of timberland, farms, commercial properties, residential communities and manufacturing plants.
