Gallagher-Smith to play for kids' cause in LPGA Tour stop in TN

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- When the LPGA Tour makes its stop in Franklin, TN on May 4 through May 7 for the Franklin American Mortgage Championship, Jackie Gallagher-Smith will find inspiration from two different sources. Ms. Gallagher-Smith, LPGA Tour winner, is a staff player for Knoxville, TN based putter manufacturer, Gaim Golf, maker of the innovative G360 putter.

The Franklin American Mortgage Championship benefits the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. As a new mother, Jackie’s son O’Connor William Smith was born March 15, 2005, Jackie is very pleased to be playing in a benefit for one of the nation’s top 10 children’s hospitals. “O’Connor has been such a blessing to us,” Ms. Gallagher-Smith stated. “His health has been excellent, but it is something that we never take for granted. My heart goes out to the many patients and parents of children who require the services of Vanderbilt’s Children’s Hospital. It is refreshing to realize that no child is ever turned away due to inability to pay for such a high level of care, care for the entire family care team.”

Jackie says she is also pleased to be back in Tennessee, the state of Gaim Golf’s headquarters and plans to represent them well during the tournament. Jackie has played the G360 putter for two years and represents the company on their infomercial that airs on The Golf Channel and other media outlets. The company is planning several events featuring Jackie during the tournament.
