ORLANDO, Fla. -- In addition to being one of best golf courses in the U-S, Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge is now also considered having one of the best golf schools in the country, as well.
Golf Magazine recently compiled a list of the 25 best golf schools in the country, and the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy was among them. Located within Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Palmer designed the Golf Academy himself, from the teaching methods to the winning attitude instilled in its instructors.
Golf Magazine's Golf School Evaluation Panel evaluated each school's basic structure and qualifications, and then rated the schools against their criteria model. Criteria included the breadth of the programs, student-to-teacher ratio, technology, instruction hours, facilities and accommodations, and the staff's level of experience. In the end, each of the Top 25 Golf Schools in America met these criteria at higher levels than non-selected schools.
At the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy, the approach to instruction mirrors Mr. Palmer's philosophy of the game. Each instructor teaches the "go-for-broke, never-let-up" style for which Palmer is so well known. In fact, the mental approach to the game is as important as perfecting a swing or a putt. The instructors have received many awards for their expertise, including Golf Magazine's "Top 100 Golf Instructors" award.
On the technical side, the Academy focuses on every aspect of the game and follows Palmer's four areas of instruction: Mastering Fundamentals, Scoring, Course Strategy, and Practicing Like a Pro. Throughout the school, students are instructed on their long and short games, specialty shots, club selection, equipment fitting, and much more. At the end of each day of instruction, students are challenged to put their champion attitude to test on Arnold Palmer's champion Bay Hill course.
The Academy offers a variety of instructional packages, designed to allow you to plan your ideal golf vacation. From junior programs up to an intense 5-day instruction, the school is sure to have a package to fit your needs and budget.
