Leading South African golf resort Fancourt, is hosting its International Amateur Open this December.

The event is a pairs competition and will run from December 8th to December 13th on Fancourt's Montagu and Outeniqua courses - both ranked in South Africa's top 20 of golf courses.

Located along the world-famous Garden Route, Fancourt has previously staged the Presidents Cup in 2003, the Women's World Cup of Golf in 2005, and the Fly SAA Open in 2006.

Long known as a one of the premier resorts in the world, the International Amateur Open is one of two events for amateurs taking place at Fancourt during the coming months, with the Links at Fancourt Invitational pencilled in for April 2009.
