DENVER -- Tehama is proud to announce that its celebrity endorser, legendary golf instructor Rick Smith, is dressed exclusively in Tehama apparel on his new television show, "20/20 Golf TV with Rick Smith". Tehama, the line of high-end contemporary sportswear for men and women that was co-founded by Clint Eastwood and Nancy Haley, has enjoyed a partnership with Rick Smith since 2006. Rick Smith is regarded as one of the golf's best sounding boards for swing advice and is consistently ranked as one of the top ten golf instructors in the world by Golf Digest.
"We're very flattered to have a guy like Rick on the Tehama team," says Tehama CEO and co-founder Nancy Haley. "But the coolest thing is that he actually called us about wearing our brand. That's the biggest compliment we could get - when an icon like Rick Smith picks us out of the pack of performance golf apparel brands, and says he'd like to work with us."
Throughout the show, which is currently in its 12th week on air and will be re-run after completion of all 13 original episodes, Smith is wearing Tehama apparel. Tehama is thrilled to have their longtime partnership with Rick Smith being made visible to the public through his show.
"I am very happy to be able to grow my partnership with Tehama. I enjoy working with the team at Tehama, and most of all I enjoy wearing the Tehama apparel. I hope that as my show gains exposure, Tehama will also benefit," said Smith.
Smith's show is a golf themed magazine program broadcast across four regions of Fox Sports Net, which reaches a total of 13 states and 10.5 million homes. Topics covered in the show include instruction, fitness, mental approach, resort reviews, course profiles, game management, PGA Tour interviews, equipment reviews, regional interest pieces and industry news and notes. In each episode, there is a segment where Rick offers instruction and course game management. Segments of the show including Rick were filmed at the TreeTops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan where Rick is a managing partner and runs one of two signature Rick Smith Golf Academies. Rick also designed three of the five golf courses at TreeTops, which is widely regarded as one of the top resorts in the Midwest.
Rick has recently started instructing PGA Tour stars Chris DiMarco and John Daly. After their first session, DiMarco finished tied for 12th at the Bridgestone World Golf Championship, his best finish to date in 2008. Similarly, John Daly has seen improvement since beginning to work with Rick in August, as he has made the cut in his last two PGA Tour events.
