BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. -- Profile Products LLC recently announced the hiring of Gary Peterson as a Profile Golf business manager, responsible for overseeing opportunities in the western region and internationally.

Prior to joining Profile Products, he worked as a golf course construction and off-site development manager for Sunrise Colony Company. In this role, he helped oversee construction and development for courses such as Red Rock Country Club in Nevada and Toscana Country Club in California.

"Gary brings some incredible industry experience and knowledge to this new role with Profile Golf," said Joe Betulius, vice president of sales. "As we pursue construction and renovation opportunities domestically and abroad, he will be a key player in driving business, and working as a partner to our customers."

Peterson began his career as a golf course superintendent in Minnesota. He later moved to California to assist in the construction of Palm Valley Country, a 36-hole facility he maintained for four years. Peterson also previously worked in course construction with companies such as Pacific Golf Developers and Carlacio Landscape. Additionally, he served as the construction manager for Sunrise Company during development of Indian Ridge Country Club, and developed projects in China and Indonesia under contract by JMP Golf Design Group. Peterson holds a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University in Mankato, and a Turfgrass Science and Culture degree from the Penn State Turf Management Program, in State College, Penn.
