Wisc. GCSA gives Brandenburg distinguished service award

David Brandenburg, CGCS at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac, Wis., was presented with the Wisconsin GCSA Distinguished Service Award at the association's annual education and business meeting.

He is only the 13th recipient of the honor in the association's 75 year history. The WGCSA has 450 members and promotes member education and research in the field of golf course management.

Brandenburg was nominated for the award for his continuing donation of time and talent to the WGCSA. Beginning with volunteering for committee service in 1993 Brandenburg served 11 years on board of directors and held the offices of secretary, treasurer, vice president and president. He also chaired several committees during that time. He is currently business manager for “The Grass Roots” the award winning bi-monthly publication of the WGCSA.
