How would you like to be one of the 26 golfers who posted a worse score than Tom Lehman in the first round of the Masters?

Lehman gets shot at on tournament's eve - apparently by some wacko taking random pops at cars on the Bobby Jones Expressway - and still manages to hold it together for a first round 76.

Meanwhile, Charles Howell The Forgotten comes in with an 80. David Duval manages a nifty 84. (Maybe, a reporter asked Duval a question on the way from the parking lot and completely shot his focus. Or maybe he just stinks.)

Lehman's dodging bullets and he betters you by eight shots? An even better example is the fact Chris DiMarco - who some fools still think is a potential major player - could only match Lehman's opening 76.

A bullet went through the rear passenger door of the Cadillac Escalade Masters courtesy car Lehman was driving to the airport. If it had happened when he was driving back from the airport instead, his 10-year-old son Thomas would have been in the back seat. Lehman digests all this, goes out and battles Rae's Creek and still gets that 76.

At least, Lehman must have known instantly that it wasn't a European who feared the U.S. Ryder Cup Team gunning for him. Because no European fears the U.S. in any Ryder Cup.

But it all seriousness, the guy has a bullet whiz at him and still shows better nerve on the course than 26 other pros.
