VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Oct. 27, 2004– GPS Industries Inc. (OTCBB:GPSN) (Frankfurt WKN#:252179), a leading developer and provider of global positioning system (GPS) and Wi-Fi wireless business solutions for golf courses, golf residential communities and golf resorts, has announced that it has opened an office in Europe to meet the growing demand for its Wi-Fi enabled golf business solutions in the world's second largest golf market.
GPS Industries Inc. (GPSI) has also announced the promotion of Bradley Allen to vice president of operations, Europe. GPSI is already strategically positioned in Europe following the recent purchase of the exclusive Differential GPS (DGPS) golf patents in Great Britain, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands. These countries represent 5358 golf courses, 91% of total golf courses in Europe. The European golf market is second in size only to the United States, but is expected to grow at double the rate with 40% more courses by 2010. GPSI also owns the exclusive DGPS patents for Australia and Japan.
