NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (March 30, 2006) -- Q-Link, the stress-reducing and fashionable pendants that lead to better scores and more enjoyment when playing golf, has signed an agreement with Summit Sunglasses, Inc. of Calgary, Alberta, Canada to be its exclusive Canadian distributor within the golf market.
On the surface, a distributor agreement with a company that distributes sunglasses seems to lack synergy with the Q-Link product. But once you look beyond the surface, it makes a whole lot of sense.
Through its distribution of Sundog Eyewear, the Recommended Eyewear of the PGA in Europe, Summit reaches more than 800 Canadian golf shops. Its premier retail partners include Golf Town (Canada), Nevada Bob's (Canada), Club Link (Canada) and Sport Chek (Canada). Summit also sells to leading pro shops in leading Canadian golf resorts like Banff Springs, Whistler Resort, Glen Abbey and Royal Montreal.
That depth of distribution, plus the interest in Q-Link products in Canada, has Summit executives looking forward to big results.
