Outdoor pavilion at Mountain Branch in N.Y. spurs sales growth

JOPPA, Md. (March 14, 2006) -- Standing in the spacious Pavilion, adjacent to the Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch Golf Course, looking over the scenic beauty of the fairways, it is easy to see why this outdoor, weather-protected venue has become the special event hotspot in Harford County. The Pavilion has also helped to spur the continuing business growth of the property.

“We are really the only place in the area with a space like this. People absolutely love the view and the flexibility that we are able to provide them. It allows us to bring the outdoors in and has really helped to grow business throughout the property. People come in for a wedding or retirement dinner and see all the other amenities that we offer here,” observed Carol McCarthy, Mountain Branch’s event manager.

The multi-functional aspect of the Pavilion has been a particular benefit. The staff is able to bridge the gap between the interior space of the Grille & Pub and the scenic vistas of the course with the tented Pavilion. This allows for enjoyment of the natural beauty of the valley regardless of the weather. The Pavilion even comes complete with its own chandelier, adding to the elegance afforded.

“The Pavilion offers residents of Harford County and the surrounding communities a non-traditional venue for all of their traditional special events,” said LeeAnn White, Mountain Branch’s event coordinator.

Besides offering the perfect location for weddings, rehearsal dinners, parties and personal milestones, the top-notch golf facilities make large, high-profile events and tournaments possible.

Ray Lewis, the All-Pro NFL linebacker, will host the Ray Lewis Golf Classic at Mountain Branch again this year. The charitable event will be held on June 9th. The facility will play host to the LPGA, the week prior, as part of the pre-tournament activities during LPGA Championship week at nearby Bulle Rock. The Baltimore Ravens are holding their annual golf tournament at the course, and, during the week of September 6-10, the course will host the 2006 Baltimore Celebrity Classic, a stop on the Celebrity Players Tour (CPT).

“One of the reasons that we are the venue of choice for so many high-profile events, besides the spectacular golf, is our tented Pavilion. It has been a wonderful asset to our growing business,” McCarthy explained.

The event staff at Mountain Branch offers a variety of flexible banquet packages and can custom-design any event. The warm and inviting clubhouse offers the perfect blend of casual comfort and elegance for events large and small.

The facility is conveniently located just 20 minutes north of Baltimore, two miles from I-95. To plan your big day, visit the course’s website at www.mountainbranch.com or call event coordinator, LeeAnn White at 410-836-9600 ext. 117 or event manager, Carol McCarthy at 410-836-9600 ext. 124.
