Mitchell Golf certifies 11 Club Repair Technicians

Mitchell® Golf Equipment Company, Dayton, OH, certified eleven “Club Repair Technicians” October 20th.

The students attended an extensive 3-day class related to all types of club repair. Mitchell® Club Repair Technician schools include instruction and hands-on experience in re-shafting, re-gripping and measuring & bending golf club angles. Classes include detailed lectures concerning club specifications and performance, followed by student work in Mitchell® Golf’s state of the art club repair lab. Each attendee learned repair techniques necessary for today’s modern golf club designs including frequency matching golf shafts.

Newly certified Club Repair Technicians include Gordon Barry, Fit 4 Golf, Scarborough, ON, Canada; Sidney Crouch, Golf USA Melbourne, Indialantic, FL; Ernie Dye, Garners Pro Shop, Memphis, TN; Martin Kings, Orion Golf, Kitchener, ON, Canada; Mark Miles, Miles Brothers Golf, Macon, GA; Quincy Morrison, Garners Pro Shop, Memphis, TN; Christopher Scott, Pro Golf of Reno-Sparks, Sparks, NV; David Sketchley, Merrimack, NH; Ray Sauritch, Raleigh, NC; Dan Thomas, Nevada Bob's of Gurnee, Gurnee, IL; and John Wise, Profitters Golf, Agawan, MA.

“Our recent class developed the skills necessary to be a Certified Club Repair Technician,” states Mike Stevens, Director of Sales & Marketing at Mitchell® Golf and head instructor for the Club Repair Technician school. “The hands-on repairs the students completed during class makes them capable of performing re-shafting, re-gripping, loft/lie alteration or any other repair immediately for their customers. I am sure all of them will be very successful and will make club repair a profit center in their shops. We are proud to have this great group join our alumni of Club Repair Technicians. ”

Students worked with recognized products from sources such as Mitchell® Golf Equipment Company, True Temper, KZ Golf, Rapport Composites, Swing Science, Grafalloy and Golf Pride. Mitchell® Club Repair Technician schools are held throughout the year with tuition being $295.00. Tuition includes tools and supplies necessary for certification.

That date is November 15-17. Mitchell® Golf also offers a 3-day Club Performance Fitting Specialist school, which details the performance characteristics of golf clubs using launch monitor technology. Tuition for this class is $495.00 and available dates November 8-10 and December 6-8.
