AVONDALE, Pa. (Feb. 28, 2006) -- Inniscrone Golf Club, a Forewinds Hospitality destination property, has named Christopher F. Boos as head golf professional. Located approximately 20 minutes outside of both Philadelphia, Pa., and Wilmington, Del., and just 10 minutes from its sister property Hartefeld National, Inniscrone Golf Club is a public, daily fee facility featuring an 18-hole championship course designed by Gil Hanse. Built in 1998, the course is complemented by a 7500 square foot clubhouse, which includes a grille and pub, men's and women's locker room facilities and full-service golf shop. The club will re-open in April of 2006.
As head professional, Boos is responsible for all golf operations including outings and tournaments, golf shop operations, tee sheet management and customer service. He brings a wealth of experience to bear in the oversight of teaching programs, lessons and clinics at the club.
Boos possesses a unique combination of local knowledge and golf expertise that will be a considerable asset to Inniscrone Golf Club. Prior to this appointment, he served as the assistant golf professional at nearby sister course, Hartefeld National. In his two years of service there, he was responsible for supervision of the labor budget and all member events. He assisted in organizing the 2005 Exelon Invitational, a national event hosted by PGA TOUR player, Jim Furyk. In 2005, he was nominated as the PGA Philadelphia Section Assistant of the Year.
Boos also served as head golf professional for Bella Vista Golf Course in Gilbertsville, Pa.. and the head teaching professional at Mainland Golf Course in Mainland, Pa. His four years of experience at these clubs included 250 hours of annual golf instruction and the creation of one of the area's most successful junior golfing programs.
Boos studied business management at Old Dominion University and was a scholarship member of the school's golf team. He is scheduled for his Level One Checkpoint under the PGA/PGM Program for July 2006.
