FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Feb. 15, 2006) -- Titleist, Golf's Symbol of Excellence,
proudly announces the selection of Paul Deedy and Jeff Fleming as 2005
Sales Representatives of the Year. The official presentation to recognize
Deedy and Fleming for this distinguished honor took place during the
Titleist National Sales Meeting in Orlando, Fla.
Deedy, who is the Titleist golf ball representative on Long Island, has
combined sales excellence with strong customer relationships to earn the
highest honor in the Titleist sales organization. His consistent record of
sales achievement is the result of developing strong business partnerships.
A Titleist Sales Representative of the Year Finalist in 1995, his
commitment to service and sales professionalism earned him his ninth
Titleist Gold Circle Award in 2005, representative of excellence in annual
sales performance.
A graduate of St. Michael's (VT) College, Deedy broke into the golf
business as a sales representative with the Izod apparel brand in 1981,
where he met his future wife, Donna. Paul and Donna became Titleist's
first husband and wife sales duo when they joined the company in 1987. The
couple resides in Setauket, N.Y. with their three children, Paul(16),
John(14), and Caroline(8).
Fleming joined the Titleist Sales Team in 1985 as the company's
representative in the New England states of Maine, Vermont and New
Hampshire. After a stint in the Washington, D.C.-based territory, Jeff has
been a mainstay in the golf hotbed of Orlando, Fla. since 1991. He has
earned the nickname of "Mr. Consistency" among his peers due to his steady
sales success, in addition to his reputation for organization and customer
satisfaction. Fleming has earned 15 Titleist Gold Circle Awards in
recognition of sales excellence, and was named Titleist Sales
Representative of the Year Finalist in 1992 and 1993.
Fleming got his start in the golf industry as an assistant golf
professional in Ohio in 1973, before accepting the head golf professional
position at the University of Florida Golf Club in 1981. He returned to
Ohio in 1982 as the head professional at Valley View GC in Akron. In 1983,
he began his sales career with the PGA Golf Company, servicing over 300
accounts throughout New England.
Fleming resides in Orlando and has two sons, Chase (16) and Christian (11).
