Bobby Jones Sportswear unveils watchs geared toward golfers

NEW YORK -- Bobby Jones Sportswear, a division of the Hickey Freeman Company and SII Marketing International, a division of Seiko Instruments USA announce the launch of the new Bobby Jones Timepiece Collection. The watches were unveiled at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, which ran Jan. 26-30, 2006.

The Bobby Jones timepieces are a unique and exciting addition to the Bobby Jones accessory family, designed to complement the sportswear collection and with country club lifestyle in mind. With a commitment to quality and elegance in every detail, the Bobby Jones Timepiece Collection emphasizes brand detailing featuring the Bobby Jones logo, color, and luxury materials.

Collaborating on the 2006 collection, Bobby Jones and SII designed three distinct series, totaling 10 unique models. Strap options range in color and include ribbon straps with leather edging, genuine leather mock crocodile, white canvas, and urethane. Interesting features include textured dials, solid stainless steel tank case, and sub dials that indicate day, date, and seconds. Genuine Seiko Quartz movements are used in all of the watches and all have a two year limited warranty. Every watch features a mineral crystal, a deployment buckle etched with the Bobby Jones logo, and a water resistance rating from 50 to 100 meters. Also notable is the ability to engrave watch case backs, with corporate, country club, or resort logos. The collection ranges in price from $195-$250.

Bobby Jones introduced its first timepieces last year with the launch of the commemorative line of limited and special edition men’s watches created for the 75th Anniversary of the Grand Slam. The full Bobby Jones Timepiece Collection will be available April 1, 2006 at Bobby Jones Stores, bobbyjonesshop.com, select jewelry and watch retailers, luxury department stores, men’s specialty stores, and the finest golf clubs and resorts worldwide.
