Sea Pines Resort offers guys' getaways on Hilton Head Island

The annual guys-only getaways, golf-inspired bachelor parties and birthday celebrations are getting a tune up this year at The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, S.C. with the Masts, Mulligans and Marinas package, starting at $390 per person* from May 29-Sept. 17, 2006. Encapsulating all things “ocean,” thrill seekers leave the old ball and chain behind and set out to The Sea Pines Resort to get a fix of rousing activities with options from sea kayaking in the Atlantic waters and fishing for cobia and redfish to golfing a competitive game on the Ocean Course and playing captain during a sailing lesson.

Masts, Mulligans and Marinas at The Sea Pines Resort
Starting at $390/person* and includes:
• Two Nights at the Inn at Harbour Town
• Round of Golf on the Ocean Course (the first golf course on Hilton Head Island!)
• Choice of Cigars or Beverage Upon Check-in
• Choice of Kayaking or Sailing Excursion
Fishing trip can be substituted for kayaking or sailing if there is a party of four or more (otherwise, additional charges apply)
• Opportunity to add in Host of Other Additional Activities at additional charges. Ask the reservations agent for more information.

Adventures begin at check-in, where gentlemen visiting The Sea Pines Resort are treated to complimentary cigars or a cold beverage upon entry to the 2005 Condé Nast Traveler Gold List award recipient, the Inn at Harbour Town. The 60-room European style Inn comes complete with English butler service and a lobby terrace overlooking the number one golf course in South Carolina, Harbour Town Golf Links — the perfect spot for enjoying libations and cigar puffs.

Adrenaline junkies set off to Harbour Town Marina for a day on the water and either cut through the glassy waters of the Calibogue Sound in a kayak or learn to “wrap a winch” during a sailing lesson. On kayaking excursions, a guide is on-hand to answer questions and steer paddlers through the sparkling waters, pointing out dolphins and other wildlife.

For another water-based escapade, the “men’s only” group has the option of adding in a chartered boat fishing trip, providing the opportunity to catch a multitude of fish from redfish to cobia in the glittering Atlantic waters. With feet back on solid ground, the Ocean Course at The Sea Pines Resort offers the grounds for a friendly game of golf, to be settled up at one of the 18 restaurants and bars on the resort property.

To plan a “male-only” escape, call The Sea Pines Resort at 1-800-SeaPines (732-7463) or visit www.seapines.com.
