TravelGolf.com debuts new monthly golf column,<br>

TravelGolf.com is pleased to debut a new golf column this week by veteran North Carolina writer Jennifer Mario.
The first installment of her monthly "A Girl's-Eye View" column can be read here. In it, she profiles John Feinstein, author of "A Good Walk Spoiled," "The Majors," "Open," "Caddy for Life," and more.

During her long career in publishing, Mario has served as senior project editor at Ventana Communications, where she brought 19 titles to print. As a freelance editor, she has worked for companies such as O'Reilly & Associates, Coriolis, IDG Books Worldwide, and Hungry Minds, Inc.; corporate clients have included GlaxoSmithKline and Sandler & Recht Advertising.

After watching Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus at the 2000 U.S. Open, Mario took up the game and became an instant addict. She now writes exclusively about golf.

Mario currently writes golf course reviews, feature stories and a blog that appear on TravelGolf.com, as well as a regular column for Triangle Golf Today, a North Carolina golf magazine. She is working on a biography of Michelle Wie geared toward young adults, which St. Martin's Press will release later this year.

A graduate of Duke University, Mario resides in Chapel Hill, N.C., with her husband and three children.

In announcing the new column, Executive Editor Mark Nessmith called Mario an outstanding addition to the editorial team.

"She brings to the table a unique perspective, that of a 'female hacker and golf writing young mom,' as she wrote in her first blog for us," Nessmith said. "Readers are going to find, however, that that description is too limiting - Jennifer can write about all aspects of golf. She is a very dynamic personality and it's going to be a pleasure to read her column each month."
