(Jan. 26, 2006) -- Greg Norman Collection announced today that the Company’s consolidated net sales increased 15% from 2004 with all operating divisions including golf, retail, corporate and international reporting double-digit sales increases. This represents the third consecutive year of double-digit sales growth.
PlayDry‚ the company’s proprietary moisture wicking technology fabric, continues to drive the Collection’s business and last year the assortment expanded with an updated collection of 100% synthetic performance items. The Greg Norman Women’s Collection sustained its growth with increases of 66% over last year. Additionally, comp door sales increased and approximately 400 new doors were opened in its core golf distribution. Both were factors in the company’s recent growth.
“We started 2005 with several strategic initiatives including increasing our PlayDry‚ assortment, refining our distribution and launching our marketing campaign—Performance. Luxury. Style. The execution of these initiatives resulted in strong increases in sales for the Company globally,” said Suzy Biszantz, President and Chief Executive Officer.
