Mesa, Ariz. club holding casting-call for Golf Magazine reality show

On Saturday, Feb. 25 (8:00 am-6:00 pm), at the Mesa Family Golf Center (3252 E. McKellips Road), Golf Magazine will conduct a casting call for its exciting new TV reality game show, The St. Joseph Pressure Challenge, hosted by CBS Sports’ David Feherty. The casting is one of three such events being staged across America for amateur golfers to earn a spot on the nationally televised show, which is scheduled to air on CBS in May.

Participants will be auditioned on a variety of attributes including their individual golf skills and personalities. Golfers selected will receive a trip to participate in the show’s taping on April 19 and 20, 2006, at The Links at Lighthouse Sound in Ocean City, MD. A $250,000 grand prize is awaiting the player(s) who can make nine consecutive pars with the help of three “mulligans” – golf-speak for do-overs. Golfers with a USGA-registered handicap of eight (8) or higher are invited to try out free of charge, however, there is a small fee for range balls for use during the audition. Sponsors of The St. Joseph Pressure Challenge include St. Joseph Aspirin, Cobra Golf, Buick, Ocean City and Dockers. Visit www.StJosephPressureChallenge.com for more information and to pre-register for the casting call.
