Mitchell Golf introducing computerized golf aids at PGA Show

Mitchell Golf Equipment Company, the industry leader in professional club performance, teaching and repair equipment will introduce its new Putting Studio and Balance Monitor using multiple exhibit locations at the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show.

At Booth #1601, a 20’x40’ space, Mitchell Golf will feature its complete line of club performance & repair equipment. The Steelclub and TourGAUGE Angle Machines will be featured along with the DigiFlex Frequency Meter and BenchVac Down Draft dust collection systems. Club repair tools for re-shafting and re-gripping, which include graphite shaft pullers, gripping stations, and cutting & buffing motors, will be on display.

The new Mitchell Putting Studio will be prominently featured on Putting Green #1at the Equipment Testing Center. This portable dual camera computerized system is both a fitting and teaching tool. It measures dynamic fitting data from the putter and ball for aim, loft, contact point, acceleration, path, stoke length, tempo & time, and skid distance. The reports page displays the putting data for comparison. Club fitters and teachers can use this portable system on a putting green for the real putting experience or indoors on artificial surfaces.

Mitchell Golf is also introducing its new Balance Monitor at the Equipment Testing Center hitting tee ETC 11. This computerized weight monitor is the latest in teaching tools. It tracks the golfer’s center of gravity and illustrates the weight transfer of the entire swing on the computer screen. The instructor can demonstrate a proper weight transfer and then have the student learn it through repetitive drills. It can be used hitting full shots with any club. The system is portable and can be used on the practice range or indoors.

This is the 17 th consecutive year that Mitchell Golf has exhibited at the PGA Merchandise Show since it debuted its Steelclub Angle Machine, the machine that changed the golf industry. Club fitting was in its infancy and there was the perception that cast clubs could not be adjusted. This was due to the inferior clamping and bending capabilities of prior loft/lie machines. It was also thought that 17-4 stainless steel could not be bent. The Steelclub Angle Machine proved these myths wrong and the entire golf industry embraced custom club fitting.
