Gene Blum named GM at Heritage Isles Golf & CC in Tampa, Fla.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Gene Blum has been named general manager at Heritage Isles Golf & Country Club in new Tampa, Fla.

Blum’s responsibilities will include direction and supervision of all golf operations as well as the Club’s membership, catering and food and beverage departments.

Blum came to the Heritage Isles from The Bayou Club, a private golf and country club in Largo, Fla., where he served as clubhouse manager for six years. Previously he was food and beverage manager at Countryside Country Club in Clearwater.

Originally from Wall Lake Iowa, Blum attended the University of South Dakota. With more than 15 years of country club experience, Blum has been actively involved in the Club Manager’s Association of America.

Managed by Chicago-based Crown Golf Properties, Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club features a par-72, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gordon Lewis and Jed Azinger, an elegant Clubhouse, an aqua driving range, a practice green, a well-stocked golf shop and a full service restaurant. With four sets of tees, the course plays 6,976 yards from the tips and takes players through a challenging round of golf in a lush natural Florida environment.
