Excel Golf Tee expands Zero Friction line with longer tee

ITASCA, Ill. -- It's Three For The Tee at Excel Golf Tee, where the company is introducing a trio of revolutionary new Zero Friction Golf Tees at this year's PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando in conjunction with its rapid growth. The Zero Friction Hardwood, a new tee that has a surface area 30 percent smaller than traditional wood tees, will debut in two heights: 2 ¾ inches and 3 ¼ inches. Zero Friction's Biodegradeable, featuring its three-pronged teeing system that promotes longer drives, is being expanded to include a new 3 ¼-inch high model.

All four Zero Friction tees, as well as the rest of the company's products, can be seen at booth No. 6812 in the Orange County Convention Center from January 26-29.
"Oversize drivers call for oversize golf tees”, says Mike Herron, Business Development Manager for Excel Golf Tee, Inc., the parent company of Zero Friction. “For a number of years the standard size was 2 1/8 inches, and recently the 2 ¾ inch has taken over as the new standard in the industry, with the 3 ¼ version close behind. As driver heads have grown in size, so have the golf tee offerings and the need for longer tees has greatly increased. The natural progression of the Zero Friction brand leads us to the 3 ¼ version. There are also certain drivers that simply perform better when the ball is struck higher on the face, and the 3 ¼ inch golf tee provides that extra height.
