TEMPE, Ariz. -- Magique Golf will unveil its new line of LBS – Low Bounce Series – wedges and its M-Series bag line when it participates in the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show & Convention January 26-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The company also will participate in the show’s demo day on Wednesday Sept. 25 at Orange County National Golf Club. Magique Golf’s exhibit will be located in booth #1945.
The company’s appearance in Orlando follows up the tremendous success it enjoyed with the launch of its new M1 and M2 irons, M400 driver, Blue Steel Fairway Woods, and the hot-selling M3 I-Brid rescue club at PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas.
“The people who are attending the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando comprise the bulk of our target market, so we know that participation in this show will be tremendously valuable for us,” said Sean Sheppard, president of Magique Golf. “We sell through custom fitters, golf shops and teaching professionals, and by being here we give them a chance to see our new LBS Wedges and M-Series bags as well as M-Series clubs, and how they stack up against the competition.
“What better way is there to convince teaching professionals that you have a great product than to put it in their hands?” he added. “And once try our products and find that they provide the same technology and playability at about half the price of the ‘name brands,’ we think they will want to get them in the hands of the people playing at their local clubs.”
The Magique LBS wedges feature a 304 Stainless Steel head with brushed nickel chrome plating, and have half the bounce of traditional wedges to provide excellent shot making from tight lies and off firmer turf. They are available in 52, 56 and 60 degree lofts and have a retail price of $65 with a steel shaft and $70 in graphite.
The company’s M-Series bags provide a variety of options for amateurs and professionals alike. The Magique staff bag is a 10.5 inch, lightweight buffalo vinyl bag with a retail price of $200. Magique also offers a 9-inch cart bag and an 8.5 inch carry/stand bag with retail prices of $100 each.
In addition to the technology benefits found in the new M-Series clubs, wedges and bags, Magique’s custom fitting system also provides dramatic game improvement. The company uses a proprietary set of static and dynamic fitting criteria to help players get the best performance possible from their clubs, a process that supports the Magique philosophy that most golfers are using ill-fitted equipment.
“Our data shows that 80 percent of golfers are playing with clubs that do not suit either their skill level or their physical characteristics,” said Sheppard. “There are four primary reasons why: shafts are too stiff, kick points are too high, lofts are too strong and lie angles are too flat. Those factors, combined with the fact that most clubs on the market were designed for Tour Pros and not average players, make it tough for the weekend player to get the most from their equipment. Magique equipment avoids those pitfalls and helps people play their best.”
All Magique clubs are manufactured with the company’s trademarked Gram Matched System®. Each component of the club is matched before assembly to achieve the perfect balance of weight between shaft, grip and club head – right down to the gram, and producing a consistent “delta” – the difference in distance between each club in the set.
Magique’s Gram Matched System® and attention to detail produces a consistent flex point in each club to maximize performance at impact. GMS® translates to longer, higher shots with more control, helping average golfers play with more confidence and lower their scores.
