NGF: Golf rounds played up 13% in November against 2004

JUPITER, Fla. -- Same-store rounds played in the U.S. were up 13.1% in the month of November 2005 vs. November 2004. That brings the year-to-date figure to +0.2%. November data was reported by 1,791 golf facility operators across the country. (Same-store rounds means, for example, that only facilities reporting rounds for both November 2005 and November 2004 are included in results.)

Regions posting unusually high gains were the South Central (up 42.5%) and Mountain (up 38.7%). The region with the largest decline was the Northwest (down 18.5%).
