Titleist Performance Institute to sponsor first golf-fitness summit

CARLSBAD, Calif. (Dec. 20, 2005) -- Some of the world's top strength and
conditioning experts for golf will gather in March 2006 at a
first-of-its-kind World Golf Fitness Summit. Hosted by Titleist
Performance Institute cofounders Dave Phillips and Dr. Greg Rose, the
three-day seminar in Orlando will focus on the growing discipline of golf
specific fitness. An assembled panel of world-renowned experts and TPI
Advisory Board members from various fields will deliver presentations on
topics such as understanding golf swing biomechanics, testing for physical
limitations that affect performance, nutritional considerations during
golf, team building for player development, and exercise progressions for
developing posture, stability, mobility and power.

The Summit is expected to attract several hundred attendees from a wide
variety of disciplines including golf professionals and instructors,
doctors, chiropractors and physical and personal trainers among others both
within and outside the golf industry who have an interest in taking their
instruction skills and menu of services to the next level. The Summit will
be broken down into three distinct areas of golf fitness and instruction:

Posture - How does the address position or set-up posture affect
performance of the golf swing? This presentation will include video
analysis of common postures found in most golf swings; how to perform a
quick physical screen to help diagnose any postural imbalances; and
treatment options and exercise progressions to help re-establish good
posture.

Backswing - How does the takeaway or backswing affect performance of the
golf swing? This presentation will include an advanced video review and
line drawing techniques to help diagnose any major swing faults found in
the backswing; how to perform a physical screen to help determine if your
player has any mobility or stability imbalances that can cause backswing
compensation; and exercise progressions to help eliminate any imbalances
and re-establish a good backswing movement.

Downswing - Focus will be on the downswing and follow-through, beginning
with advanced video review and line drawing techniques to help diagnose any
major swing faults. Participants will learn how to become more skilled at
performing physical screens to that will assist in determining if their
player has any mobility or stability imbalances that can cause downswing
compensation. Exercise progressions will be discussed to help eliminate
any imbalances and re-establish a good downswing.

Other special topics will include On-Course Nutrition, Rotator Cuff
Stabilization Techniques and 3D Motion Capture Systems and Capture Methods.

The keynote address will be delivered by Acushnet Company Chairman and CEO
Wally Uihlein. Additional presenters will include Phil Cheetham, Gray
Cook, Robert Duvall, Tom House, Peter Mackay, Denis McDade, Ramsay
McMaster, Robert Mottram and Robert Yang.

The Summit will take place from March 9-11, 2006 at Walt Disney World's
Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando. The event will be limited to 500
