C-Thru Grips Files Two New Patents

Orlando, Fla. (June 29, 2004) - C-Thru Grips, Inc., has filed two
additional patents on the world’s first clear golf grip. C-Thru Grips
already has a patent pending on a clear golf grip with a logo or mark
underneath; through its manufacturing relationship several patents have
been issued on the manufacturing process. The two new patent filings
address the special-effects vinyl in the metallic and/or holographic
inserts of C-Thru Grips, which several golf original equipment
manufacturers recently have ordered.
“We are pleased that C-Thru Grips continues to have a growing presence
in the golf equipment arena,” said Shawn D. Lucas, president of C-Thru
Grips. “These new patents are a reflection of our ongoing goal to
produce an exciting product that is experiencing increased demand from
golfers at every level.”
Holland & Knight LLP, one of the nation’s largest law firms, is handling
the patent filings on behalf of C-Thru Grips.
Last year, over 150 PGA Tour players carried C-Thru Grips. This year,
already there have been several wins on both the PGA and LPGA Tours by
players carrying C-Thru Grips. On the collegiate level, C-Thru Grips,
which are carried by over three hundred college and university golf
teams nationwide, had six wins at various national collegiate
Championships this year.
C-Thru Grips, established in 2001, produces clear, tour-quality golf
grips featuring customized designs, and specializes in both putter and
full swing golf grips. A wide array of slogans, country flags, country
club logos and college and university logos are available. Additionally,
custom-designed labels may be ordered to support golf facilities, as
well as alumni or corporate functions.
