Marriott Golf to manage Cottonwood Hills Golf Club in Kansas

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 12, 2005) -- Marriott Golf, the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that it will assume management of the golf facilities at Cottonwood Hills Golf Club, a premier Nick Faldo-designed golf course located in Hutchinson, Kansas.

This new 18-hole public golf facility is scheduled to unveil its first 9-holes in early Spring of 2006, with the second 9 scheduled to open in June of 2006.

Marriott Golf provided consultation services throughout the design and construction phases of Cottonwood Hills Golf Club, which led to the management contract. As part of Marriott’s management role at the new facility, the golf division will oversee all aspects of the club operation, including golf course maintenance, instructional programs, food and beverage services and overall golf programming.

“We are very excited to bring the Marriott Golf management expertise to Cottonwood Hills Golf Club,” said Claye Atcheson, Vice President, Operations, Marriott Golf. “This facility will not only make an excellent addition to our portfolio of prestigious golf properties, but will also further enhance the area’s already outstanding reputation for fine golf.”

The classic links-style course will feature a rich, unique terrain complete with rolling sand hills and tumbling dunes and promises to be among the finest championship standard golf courses in the nation.

Cottonwood Hills Golf Club will be the centerpiece of a celebrated 619-acre planned community, with its first residents moving in during the summer of 2006.
