Magique introduces new irons for low-handicappers

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Magique Golf has introduced a new iron specifically designed for the low-handicapper, the new M1 Series irons that provide the consistent feel and performance of a forged club with the forgiveness and playability of investment casting.

The M1 Series irons have the clean, traditional profile of a forged blade and feature a perimeter weighted cavity-back design for the performance of forged irons with the forgiveness of a cast club. Their frame of nickel plated 304 stainless steel – the softest steel that can be investment cast – offers the benefits of forged without the price tag. The M1 Series also features Magique’s proprietary Linear Bounce Differential (LBD) technology that allows for cleaner contact through the turf, thereby increasing clubhead speed at the point of impact to create longer, more consistent shot making ability.

The Magique M1 Series irons are available in 2-9, PW, 52, 56 and 60 degrees. The list price for the M1 irons is only $56 per club with a True Temper Dynamic Gold steel shaft or $62 per club with UST High Performance Graphite shaft.

Magique has traditionally designed its clubs for the average golfer, and company president Sean Sheppard says that despite the fact that the M1 Series is targeted to the low handicap player, the company has stayed true to its design philosophy.

“What we have done is create a club that combines game-improvement technology with the look and feel of a traditional forged iron,” said Sheppard. “As teachers, we understand that a high percentage of better players love the benefits of forged irons but don’t want to pay for it, and now they don’t have to. The M1 Series provides both of those things, and on top of all that it’s simply a great looking golf club.”

In addition to the technology benefits found in the M1 irons, Magique’s custom fitting system also provides dramatic game improvement. The company uses a proprietary set of static and dynamic fitting criteria to help players get the best performance possible from their clubs, a process that supports the Magique philosophy that most golfers are using ill-fitted equipment.

“Our data shows that 80 percent of golfers are playing with clubs that do not suit either their skill level or their physical characteristics,” said Sheppard. “There are four primary reasons why: shafts are too stiff, kick points are too high, lofts are too strong and lie angles are too flat. Those factors, combined with the fact that most clubs on the market were designed for Tour Pros and not average players, make it tough for the weekend player to get the most from their equipment. Magique equipment avoids those pitfalls and helps people play their best.”

All Magique clubs are manufactured with the company’s trademarked Gram Matched System®. Each component of the club is matched before assembly to achieve the perfect balance of weight between shaft, grip and club head – right down to the gram, and producing a consistent “delta” – the difference in distance between each club in the set.

Magique’s Gram Matched System® and attention to detail produces a consistent flex point in each club to maximize performance at impact. GMS® translates to longer, higher shots with more control, helping average golfers play with more confidence and lower their scores.
