Pawleys Island, S.C. -- Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club in Pawleys Island, S.C., has named Diane Cooke human resources manager.
Cooke’s responsibilities include recruitment and retention, administration of benefits and maintaining employee relations.
Prior to joining Pawleys Plantation, Cooke was the corporate human resources director for Hospitality Health Care Services in Columbia, Md., where she was instrumental in the development of the human resources department for that start-up management company. Previously, Cooke also served as corporate human resources director for Schmidt Baking Company in Fullerton, Md. In addition, she has held several other positions in the area of human resources.
“Diane brings a strong background in human resources to Pawleys Plantation,” said Laura Rippy, general manager for Pawleys Plantation. “Her experience in a variety of industries, gives her a unique perspective on employee relations issues. We are pleased to have her as part of our team.”
Originally from Baltimore, Md., Cooke received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Towson State University. She currently resides in Myrtle Beach.
