CELEBRATION, Fla. -- Mystic Dunes Golf Club, as result of its ‘Pink Ribbon Golf Classic,’ raised over $22,000 to contribute to the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer” campaign.
This amount far surpassed the tournament’s original charitable goal of $10,000.
“It was wonderful to see the high level of support and participation we had from the golfing community for this event,” said Melissa Suttles, general manager of Mystic Dunes Golf Club. “Breast cancer research and care is a cause we are committed to, and we hope this will be the first of many years of hosting this tournament at Mystic Dunes.”
The ‘Pink Ribbon Golf Classic,’ presented by Tempus Resorts International, Ltd., was played in the format of a co-ed scramble and was open to all. Winter Park Construction served as presenting sponsor. The event included a reception with prizes and live and silent auctions.
Major sponsors included Delta Financial Consultants and United Healthcare of Florida. All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.
