Cheap Bastard: San Diego courses keeping plates full

The Cheap Bastard's ears were burning recently, but that's what comes from using a hot plate as a pillow.

And speaking of hot plates, in San Diego they're keeping the plates hot with unbelievable deals on golf with your lunch thrown in.

American Golf is offering golf with a cart and lunch for just $20 at its short courses and for $25 at a most of its other courses, while Cottonwood has food deals throughout the week, with lunch and golf all for $37.

It seems that while the rules of supply and demand can affect some areas like Phoenix with higher rates, it affects San Diego the opposite – they are fighting for golfers' business (economics was one of my 11 majors).

Eagle Crest has push the envelope even further, giving golfers unlimited golf, to go along with range balls, a sleeve of balls, lunch, and unlimited soft drinks for just $45, or just $38 for senior citizens.

It's much more than one Cheap Bastard can handle, so if you're in or around the San Diego area, these are some deals you just can't miss.
