Cancellation penalties waived at Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort

CANCUN, Mexico -- Due to the impact of Hurricane Wilma, the 426-room Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort is currently closed.

Cancellation penalties for individuals and groups currently booked have been waived through December 31, 2005.

A team of experts is currently assessing the damage to the resort. The time frame for reopening the resort is also being evaluated. As soon as more information is available, it will be announced.

"Efforts are now underway to rebuild and clean up the resort," says Sergio Serra, Director of Sales & Marketing, Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort. "We have 350 employees and a Hilton Recovery Team working diligently to clean up and restore the resort. Major clean up and restoration efforts are underway all over Cancun," he added.
