VISTA, Calif. -- DeLaCruz Golf, extending its offerings to help golfers optimize their performance, has introduced its new 52-degree gap wedge and 60-degree lob wedge.
The two new wedges represent an expansion of DeLaCruz Golf’s Wolfram Wedge line, which also includes the 55-degree sand wedge.
“Users of our 55-degree sand wedge have been praising the club’s consistent performance, which is why we decided to expand our wedge line,” said Larry Fortier, COO of DeLaCruz Golf. “A set of our Wolfram Wedges provides the golfer with the tools needed for the desired ‘precision approach’ time and time again. That’s the DeLaCruz Golf standard.”
The Wol fram Wedges have the identical physical design features of the DLC Wedge series that earned top billing by Golf Test USA last year. The 52-degree gap wedge features 4-degree bounce for final approach to the green, filling the gap between the pitching wedge and sand wedge, while the 60-degree lob wedge features 5-degree bounce for firm surface shots. Among the distinguishing features of the wedges is the unique sole design, allowing the club to sit down under the ball even when the face is open; the end of the sole angles away to reduce drag. A generous leading edge prevents digging and “fat shots,” and a 10% tapered U groove helps keep wedge score lines clean. Very little offset in the hosel allows for easier alignment, creating more consistent shots.
