LIVERMORE, Calif. -- Poppy Ridge Golf Course is hosting the 2nd Annual “Movies, Mulligans and Merlot” celebrity golf tournament which benefits the California Independent Film Festival and independent film production in the tri-valley area.

The shotgun tournament starts at 10am on October 28th, and includes box breakfast, golf, range balls, tee prizes, and awards banquet. Registration starts at $195 per player.

Along with our two new guests, this year’s tournament host will be film and television Actor Mickey Jones from the 1996 golf comedy “Tin Cup”. Televisions “Surreal Life” couple Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry are also scheduled to attend. Christopher Knight, best known for his role as Peter in the television hit series “The Brady Bunch” and Adrianne Curry, winner of “America’s Next Top Model” are both featured in VH1’s reality series “My Fair Brady” which began airing in September.

The format this year is a four-person scramble. Players should prepare to be on the green all day and then relax with the guest stars at an awards banquet at 4:00 p.m. During the banquet, there will be entertainment, wine tasting and an auction to raise funds for the California Independent Film Festival. Business sponsorships are also available at all levels.
