USA -- Great Divider has emerged as the leading producer of divider golf bags in the golf industry through a combination of innovation and experience.
Led by company President Jim Sutter, Great Divider has used Sutter’s product insights to develop EBS (Elevated Base System) technology to jump ahead of the competition throughout the industry.
EBS technology creates stadium seating for your clubs by raising the bottom of the bag via a molded shelf successively for each row of clubs.
“Clubs differ very little in length and we felt if we could raise the base from the back to the front, we would accomplish our goal of attaining perfect organization without sacrificing ease of use,” Sutter explained. “The result and the acceptance of the technology have been tremendous.”
Sutter has been involved in the divider golf bag industry since its inception.
“I was a sales representative for one of the first companies to offer a divided bag,” he explained. “At first, they sold extremely well, but the dividers were made of cloth and shortly after golfers started using them, the cloth would rip. I carefully noticed all the flaws in the product and have been vigilant in not repeating them.”
EBS technology is only one of the patented processes held by Great Divider. They also hold the patent on the two-color top of the golf bag.
That technology (the two-color top) has proved to be very popular,” said Sutter. “In fact, another bag company has tried to copy it on their products and we have been forced to protect our patent in court. We will be just as diligent should any company attempt to use the EBS technology as well.”
