Capital Ties releases two new golf neckties

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Two new neckties celebrating the game of golf, one featuring green jackets and claret jugs, and the other featuring images of four animals to represent the nicknames of golf legends, were released by Capital Ties, a New York company.

"Both are unique neckties," said Stuart Hotchkiss, designer and owner of Capital Ties. "The Jacket and Jug tie is meant to be a bit more traditional, and it looks like a golf tie because of the repeat of clubs and balls that appear alongside the jackets and jugs. This is a tie that a member of Augusta National or St. Andrews would be proud to own and wear."

Hotchkiss speaks from experience. "My great uncle, Elmore D. 'Nick' Hotchkiss Jr., was a charter member of Augusta and would have looked dashing in this tie." Hotchkiss proudly owns a copy of the stock certificate issued to his uncle on May 16, 1932 which bears the number 44.

"On the other hand," said Hotchkiss, "the Golf Animals tie simply looks like a fashion tie. Customers love its subtlety. Only when someone pays particular attention to the small cluster of tees in the design are they tipped off that it's a golf tie."

In his advertising copy for Golf Animals, Hotchkiss writes "we hope you'll enjoy this wild tribute to golf's great legends, featuring tigers, bantam roosters, great white sharks and golden bears."
