PGA Golf Properties selects MICROS Systems for dining and retail

COLUMBIA, Md. -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS - News), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that PGA Golf Properties, a wholly owned subsidiary of The PGA of America, has selected and implemented the MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System and the MICROS Workstation 4 (WS4) throughout their entire enterprise dining and retail operations.

The centrally hosted solution resides at the PGA Headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens FL, and connects to the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, FL, which includes The PGA Golf Club, The PGA Learning Center, and the PGA Country Club. Operations at the exclusive Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY, host of the 2000 PGA Championship and the 2004 Senior PGA Championship are also connected and a significant part of the enterprise.

MICROS partnered with PGA Golf Properties to deliver enhanced system integration to applications managing tee time reservations, financial performance and merchandise inventory systems. The 9700 System Interface Module (SIM) and NetVuPoint applications provide a solid foundation upon which the integration functionality is built. Enhanced guest/player experience is a driving factor behind the integration development.

"PGA Golf Properties required a true enterprise-wide solution that we could rely upon," stated Soren Spiers, Regional Controller for PGA Golf Properties. "A single view of our diverse operations, as well as MICROS's commitment to the partnership, were key factors behind our decision to select MICROS."
