PGA Tour Superstore will open second Atlanta location in Feb. 2006

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc. (GTPS) has announced that it has signed a lease for space and intends to open its second Atlanta-area store in Kennesaw, Ga. in February 2006. The new store will be 77,000 square feet and will be located just north of Town Center Mall at 2911 George Busbee Parkway, just off I-75. The new store is even larger than the 65,000 square foot Roswell store, which opened in March 2005.

“Based on the overwhelmingly positive customer response at our Roswell store, we’re developing an even-better shopping experience at the larger Kennesaw store,” said Bill Hamlin, chief executive officer of GTPS, and one of the group of former Home Depot executives and PGA of America professionals who make up GTPS’ management team. “The added space allows us to set up 12 golf swing simulators — four more than we have at the Roswell store. We’ll have chipping, pitching and putting greens, and the widest assortment of golf clothing and golf shoes in the Atlanta area. We also plan to offer even more to the tennis experience by adding a full-sized, indoor tennis court to complement our wide assortment of tennis equipment, apparel, and accessories.”

In addition to carrying the largest selection of golf equipment, apparel, shoes and golf-themed home décor in the Atlanta area, the PGA TOUR Superstore provides shoppers with an interactive, entertaining experience. Golfers have access to technology and services usually found in professional “Tour Vans” at tournament sites. Computerized swing simulators and launch monitors are in place to analyze a player’s swing speed, ball trajectory, launch angle and impact zone. Game improvement tools such as the SST Pure™ Shaft Alignment System (Pureing) and the Balance-Certified — Golf’s Motion Balancing Adjustment System™ are available to adapt clubs to each individual’s needs. PGA of America pros are on staff to provide lessons, adjust a swing and guide club fitting.

“We are very excited about the potential for the PGA TOUR Superstore concept to revolutionize golf retailing,” said Tim Finchem, Commissioner of the PGA TOUR. “We also believe the PGA TOUR Superstore can have a major impact on the growth of our sport.”
“This is a great location and we’re very pleased to have the PGA TOUR Superstore here,” said Matt Sasser, Vice President of Bright-Meyers Kennesaw Associates, LLC (Bright-Meyers), owner of the shopping center. “The store has been very successful in its Roswell location because of the exciting, interactive shopping experience as well as its great products, prices and services offered there. The Kennesaw location enables GTPS to create a store that’s even bigger and better than its last store.”
