PGA auctions memorabila, more to benefit storm relief efforts

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - One-of-a-kind items, such as an 87th PGA Championship18th hole flag, autographed by PGA Champion Phil Mickelson and a foursome at acclaimed Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas, are just a sampling of the auction items available now on the PGA.com GolfAuctions for Katrina Relief at www.PGA.com/relief.

Included in the auction are autographed items from PGA Champion Vijay Singh, Ryder Cup Captains Hal Sutton, Curtis Strange, and Lanny Wadkins, Senior British Open winner Pete Oakley, and NASCAR drivers Joe Nemechek, Dale Jarrett and Elliot Sadler. One unique auction is for a trip for two, airfare (Continental U.S. only) and hotel included, to the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., the golf industry's largest trade show.

The PGA.com Golf Auctions for Katrina Relief is a collaborative effort of The PGA of America and Reed Exhibitions to raise money for the U.S. Golf Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. The auctions will be staged in conjunction with the 2005PGA Fall Expo and include items from Expo exhibitors. The PGA.com Golf Auctions for Katrina Relief, created and managed by the PGA Trade-In Network and thePGA.com Value Guide, will run through Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at 8 p.m. EST.

The PGA.com Golf Auctions for Katrina Relief is among the initiatives of The PGA of America to support the U.S. Golf Hurricane Relief Fund. The Fund is a collective endeavor from the major U.S. golf organizations (The PGA of America, PGA TOUR, LPGA, USGA, the Masters Tournament and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America) to provide support to relief efforts in the devastated areas of the Gulf Coast.

The PGA Fall Expo, which will run Wednesday-Thursday, Sept. 28-29, 2005, in Las Vegas, is organized in partnership with The PGA of America, and is one of four leading golf trade shows in PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions' global golf portfolio including: the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando; the Ontario PGA Golf Merchandise Show in Toronto, Canada; and the PGA Merchandise Show of Australia in Queensland.

The PGA Trade-In Network (www.pgalinks.com/tradein), a PGA.com Business Program and multi-component initiative of The PGA of America, was developed to bring efficiency to the secondary market for golf clubs to benefit golfers, PGA Professionals, golf retailers, and golf manufacturers alike. The PGA.com Value Guide (www.pga.com/valueguide) is the National Standard Resource for used golf club values and is comprised of over 50 brands and 3,700golf club models.
