Clinton and 007 star push aside local councilwoman on golf course

KAUAI, Hawaii -- Tempe City Councilwoman Barbara Carter was ready to play a round of golf at the Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii, when a VIP game pushed back her tee time.

It was former President Bill Clinton, who was playing golf with James Bond star Pierce Brosnan.

Carter spied the ex-president while she was eating at the resort during the outing last month. She said she struck up a conversation with Clinton by mentioning that she had been treated by a doctor who was Clinton's personal physician. Clinton was nice enough to pose for a photo. They chatted about Clinton's heart attack - Clinton called it an "accident" - and Carter told Insider it's clear that the former prez hasn't quite recovered from that episode. "He doesn't look well at all," she said.

But how was Clinton and Brosnan's golf game?

Clinton's "not bad. He's better than me," Carter said. And 007? "He's a pitiful golfer."
