AVONDALE, Penn. -- Forewinds Hospitality, parent company of Mountain Branch Golf Club in Joppa, MD, and Hartefeld National Golf Club in Avondale, PA, is donating greens fees and a portion of the revenue from its Grille & Pub Restaurants at each club for Hurricane Katrina relief. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be directed to the American Red Cross’ hurricane relief.
“We have all been touched by the enormous destruction and loss in Louisiana and Mississippi. The images we see day after day on our televisions are mind boggling, almost impossible to comprehend,” stated Ron Winarick, Managing Director of Forewinds Hospitality, LLC. “Everyone wants to do their part to help. The family of Forewinds’ golf destinations will be donating 100% of the greens fees and a portion of our Grille & Pub revenues for an entire day of business for the hurricane relief.”
Located in Joppa, MD, just two miles off of Interstate 95, Mountain Branch Golf Club will hold its fundraiser on Monday, September 19. Additionally, Mountain Branch Golf Club will be featuring a selection of Louisiana inspired entrees priced at $25 each, of which the entire cost will be donated to the fundraiser. Hartefeld National Golf Club, located just off of Rt. 41 in Avondale, PA, will hold its fundraiser on October 3, with a special rate of $75 for a round of golf including cart and practice range.
Additionally, both clubs will hold employee fundraisers, which Forewinds will match dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000.
“We encourage everyone to come out and play. The more players we have, the more money we can send to those in need,” added Winarick.
Forewinds Hospitality is the hospitality division of one of America’s largest real estate acquisition and property management firms – Sawyer Realty Holdings LLC, a privately held acquisition and management firm based in Needham, Massachusetts and College Park, Maryland.
