PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Major Champion Vijay Singh will complete the foursome for the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, Nov. 21-23, at Poipu Bay Golf Course & Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa in Kauai, Hawaii.
Singh will meet Masters and British Open Champion Tiger Woods, U.S. Open Champion Michael Campbell and PGA Champion Phil Mickelson in the year's showdown of major champions. He finished second on the major champions points list (273.16) and replaces Retief Goosen (288.83), who is unable to compete due to scheduling conflicts.
Singh's major championship season featured tying for fifth in the Masters, sharing sixth in the U.S. Open, a tie for 5th in the British Open, and tied for 10th in the PGA Championship. Singh was second in the 1998, 2000 and 2004 PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
The major champions points list is composed of past major champions who competed in the 2005 majors. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf features a total purse of $1 million, with the Champion earning $400,000. The two-day, 36-hole, stroke-play event is broadcast on TNT.
